Catherines Bio below,
Catherine Bosley joined the 19 Action News team in April 2005. She now co-anchors the noon newscast and reports for the afternoon/evening newscasts.
Catherine comes to us from WKBN-TV in Youngstown, Ohio, where she started as the crime reporter and back-up anchor, and then worked her way up to morning show co-anchor and noon show anchor.
She's an Ashtabula County native and a Kent State University cum laude graduate. Her career started right out of college at the station she interned at, WICU-TV in Erie, Pa. There she did just about every job in the newsroom -- reporting, fill-in anchoring, weekend weather and weekend assignment editing! Her next stop was WETM-TV in Elmira, N.Y., where she anchored, produced and reported. From there, it was on to WROC-TV in Rochester, N.Y., and then to Youngstown, where in addition to her TV job, she spent a year working for Y-103 radio as a morning show co-host.
So, what does Catherine do in her free time? Her number one hobby is running! She has nine marathons under her belt and plans to add many more with hopes of someday qualifying for the famous Boston Marathon. With all that time running…it would make sense that's how she met her husband, also a runner. She enjoys many other outdoor sports and is a big fan of the Browns, Indians and the Cavaliers. Catherine enjoys charity work as well…as a heart patient herself, she's most dedicated to the American Heart Association volunteering with their Mended Hearts group visiting patients at the Cleveland Clinic!
Number one in her life though: family. "I'm so blessed to be able to do what I love most in the area with the people I love most!"
